When distribution territories are geographically large or do not have a centrally located weather station, the weather conditions throughout the territory may be better estimated by a combination of weather stations. We can help you find weather stations and determine the optimal combination of your weather stations for forecasting your natural gas demand. We have found combinations of weather stations that have reduced gas load estimation error by as much as 20% over the existing methods.

A set of weather stations recommended as the optimal set for forecasting natural gas sendout over an LDC operating area.
A set of weights for each recommended weather station. These weights will be encoded into the customer's existing GasDay configuration.
